The only way to do a fair judgement on who is the fastest googler on the board, is to set up a site that has a "ask" button and a "submit answer" button, calculating the time, with a fair and balanced judge reading the answers.
Personally, I think thats a bit too much. I like it as an idea for a game, though.

I have two good questions, one of which I happened to bookmark earlier. Let me google the other, and make sure I have a good online reference, then we can start. I should be able to google it in a few minutes.

Wasn't he impeached in the 70s? And can we use wikipedia instead of google? I like wikipedia way better.

Post the answer, to claim priority. The url is nice too. Might be quicker to just cut-and-paste the URL.

quote: "Watergate" is a general term used to describe a complex web of political scandals between 1972 and 1974. The word specifically refers to the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C.
Nixon's last days in office came in late July and early August, 1974. The House Judiciary Committee voted to accept three of four proposed Articles of Impeachment, with some Republicans voting with Democrats to recommend impeachment of the President.
At 9pm on the evening of August 8, 1974, Nixon delivered a nationally televised resignation speech.

Whereas I, personally, dislike American-centric Google questions. So I decline to get involved.

Your question has no answer. Nixon was never impeached (only 3 of 4 articles), and certainly never in the 1980s.

rivka, I can't answer in specifics without giving away the trick question. But your answer is incomplete, and doesn't answer my question.

Yes, RRR wins! I never said Pres. or Richard--just Nixon. Almost everyone assumes it's President Nixon.
Good job, that's one of my favorite trivia questions, and tough to google because of the avalanche of material you get on Richard Nixon and impeachment.
Do you have a question for us to google, RRR?

Here's the Senate page for my answer: senate.gov and a google search, straight from my question, that lists Judge Nixon as impeached: google searchPosts: 6316 | Registered: Jun 2003

Myeh, the movie is what I was looking for, but that site is a dirty lie. It jumped the shark when Smokingman was shot, but not killed in Season 5.
