So my new fiance and I are in the car talking about baby names. "What do you think of Michael Ender as his first and middle name, if it is a boy?" he asks. jfd;lajfas;! I laughed, but honestly... I think it sounds cool. Have we crossed the line between Ender fans and... I don't know what? Oh, God I feel so lame just typing this. Whatever your reply, at least I didn't name my child "Thor" like my friends did. -_- Tell me I'm not stupid... or tell me I am. Doesn't matter. ~M

(Just, whatever you do, don't take James Owen or Ciaran Michael-- names we have picked for first and second boys. Actually, I wanted Ciaran for the first boy, but James is the name of my husband's dead father, and that trumps "had it picked out since I was 16". *sigh* )

Would you really want a child named after a Xenocide? An innocent child drawn to war? Ah, who cares? Cute name, easy to pronounce. That is, unless he has "Bwyan" and "Woga" pwoblems.

If later in life he chooses to use his middle name more prominently, he could be M. Ender ____________ Or... Mender.

I know a guy named Merlin! He's a good musician, too. Did you know that was a fairly popular name in the 1920's (no. 314 for boys in the US during that decade)?

I solved that naming problem by eating the kids.
