The kids and I were out taking a walk on the trail today...Matthew and Livvie ran ahead down a little, bushy side trail...and dissapeared. I walked up and down the trail for 10 minutes, calling their names to no avail. Finally, panicky and with horrifying visions in my head, I called 911. They instructed me to wait at the head of the trail for an officer. I hang up, stow my phone in the stroller, and turn around...to see Brian walking toward me holding on to their hands. I ran down to hug them and then called 911 back...then I just broke down crying and shaking. The kids had gone home when they couldn't find me. We had a good long talk with them when we got home ( about going bacxk to the last place they had seen a parent).
