Choobak, she used to be "our" Annie of Hatrack--now she's Hobbes' Annie of Hatrack.
She uses "Marianne Dashwood" on her livejournal. It was the name of some fictional heroine, from Ernest Hemmingway I think.

On an unrelated note...I wonder how many women identify themselves with an Austen heroine. I want to be Elizabeth Bennett, but in reality, I think I'm a lot more like Anne Elliot.

Awww! Thanks, everyone (and Cecily darling especially). I'm feeling a bit better and currently trying to talk my mom into letting me stay home and rest today.

Yes! Weird-out is successful!! Nah, I bet they're impressed and I imagine that they don't know what to do with 'the talent' of the town. *wink*

I may resort to giving pieces away and forcing them to sign a contract saying they'll display it.

It doesn't bother me personally, kq, it just confirms my fears... you're not a girl at all, but a replicant.

Besides... Kq, note that I say that for you since I never said it before... I don't hate Jane Austen's books. But I don't particulary like them either. *runs and hides in the same hole than kq* *mutters : "I'm not a replicant ! I'm a real woman !"*

Hugs to Annie and a heads up that the punwit party will be visiting Helena in mid-June. Perhaps we'll be able to get together for lunch or something?

quote:I get out the metal ruler and the Exacto knife and line up my trim marks nicely. Terry, the ever-helpful copy desk lady asks if I need a new blade. "I'll see," I tell her. "This one looks pretty sharp."
That one is pretty sharp. It slices off a beautifully smooth oval section of my finger in one smooth motion... [section cut]
"How deep is it?"[asks Terry]
"Pretty deep." I decide not to show her the nice oval slice of my own skin I'm holding in my palm, even though it's a good indicator of the size of the wound.--from Annie's livejournal

Ewww, a little too avant-garde for my taste. Feel better, (Annie)!
