Today, at 3:30 PM EST, I will be fulfilling my public lecture requirement by presenting a paper in my department's colloquium series. I will have the fun of presenting my ideas to the entire faculty, who then question and comment (with varying degrees of ruthlessness).
I'm scared silly.
So, if you happen to have a moment to spare around 3:30, I could use all the good thoughts I can get.

My thoughts will be happy, and with you on that side of town, (my body won't be there till a bit before 8, but that's beside the point).
Entire faculty, I'm seriously hoping it's just music theory, because entire music seems like it could be a lot of people (scary respectable people).

Oh, it's just music theory (and possibly some musicology), but that's plenty frightening enough...especially considering that these are the people that decide whether I pass the requirement or not, and decide whether I get my Ph.D. or not, and write my job recommendation letters...you get the idea.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and vibes!
I think it must have helped, because it seemed to go very well. All the questions asked were helpful and useful, and none of them were overly critical. Also, nearly all the attending faculty came up to me at the end and told me, "Good job!"
So, hooray! I may someday be Dr. Megan after all.
