I don't know Eduardo for a long time. He started as a teacher in my College this year, but he seems to be fun. He actually talks about sci-fi and fantasy literature, which is quite unusual in Literature classes over here. He asked us to read the translated version of "Ender Game", since most of the class don't know english. Fortunatelly, I already read the book 3 times!

Hi, Narnia! Cool! Do you know Portuguese well or just a few words? Where did you learn it? Did you went to Portugal or Brazil to learn?

I lived in Brazil for 19 months as a missionary for a Igreja de Jesus Cristo dos Santos dos Ultimas Dias. I served in different parts of Campinas, Mogi Mirim and Jundiai.
I actually spent 2 months in Sao Paulo (Casa Verde) for training.
So I do speak fluently (and I don't know how to do all the accents and symbols on this forum) but I've been back from Brazil for 3 years...it's getting rusty.

Wow! Welcome! Quirky is a very nice way of describing ye olde jatraqueros . . . if a trifle mild at times.

Yup, I asked them to read Enders' Game. I don't like the translation (The title is like: "O jogo do exterminador" - "terminator's game"), but since most of the class can't read in English, that was the only option. Camila was very happy, because she already had a nice hardcover copy of Ender's game. Camila...am I wrong or you told me you call your older brother "Peter", when he's mean to you? I found that really funny.
I'm on my way to a cousin's wedding, so no time to make you some welcome cookies. I'll get you some later.

Welcome! And remember to always have tranquilizers ready when some of the more eccentric jatraqueros/jatraqueras start babbling, otherwise they'll keep it up all day long.
