When I was in late grade school I taped all of the episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus aired by my local PBS affiliate. During this time, PBS was airing a miniseries called The Jewel in the Crown, set in the waning years of the British Raj. Growing up I'd watch my Monty Python tapes, and always wonder what that miniseries was about, but I never had the opportunity to find out until now. Netflix has it available, and I got the first disc of it in the mail last night. My plan for the evening is to have a pizza and watch a couple hours of it.
Anyone know if it's going to be worth seeing?
Huh. It came out in 84, so I must have been a little older than I thought when I made those tapes. I could have *sworn* I recorded them when I was in 5th grade, but it doesn't look like that's possible.

I read it, Noemon, and it was amazing, sad, and beautiful. I saw some of the movie, and thought it was done very well. I think you will like it.
