Klaus Nomi dared to be different as he combined opera with pop, rock, cabaret and mixed it all with a futuristic sound of synthesizers.Take all this together with his almost inhuman voice, raging from operatic soprano to Prussian general and what you get is NOMI!

Just a fan site, but he sounds cool. I almost want to see this, even though it's a documentary.

Apparently Nomi was a German opera singer who tried to use his opera voice on American pop ... or something I haven't exactly researched this to an extreme degree. He was also gay which I guess made a significant impact in some way... (beyond his sex life that is)

[Well I guess this post was late but still ...

anyways, he ended up dying of AIDS at an early age [Frown] ]

And was the first famous person to die of it, they say.

I'm all sorts of curious about this guy. *on a klaus nomi research spree*

At this site there's some clips of his stuff.

He would have made an amazing Mary Sunshine.
