One of the Assistance principals at my school was caught on camera by his daughter dancing and looking like an idiot. She posted it on the internet. Posts: 1015 | Registered: Aug 2004

That is both funny and disturbing on so many levels that I wouldn't know where to begin. Just the fact that he had choreography, albeit it was chair dancing, to the song is worth a big huge spew of soda across the keyboard.

The funniest thing to me is that he looks a lot like my little brother. Dances kind of like him, too. Except more coordinated. Posts: 21182 | Registered: Sep 2004

I just watched it again, and I am seriously laughing so hard I'm crying. Thanks, Katie! *runs to bathroom to avoid wetting pants*

Dang... That reminds me of me when I am grooving to tunes... how embarassing. I wonder what song it was, it sounded cool and European.

*grin* That's how it was...at first mild amusement, then a smile, then a grin, then giggles, then snickers, and a belly laugh that brought me attention and made me post it to Hatrack.

Got it bookmarked, which I do for very few videos or songs. And the lip-synching dude's got rhythm&style ta make ya smile, which is all ya can ask of any entertainer.
Okay, time for a viral marketing campaign to find out the name of the song, the group who did this arrangement, and to say thanks to the dude by making him famous.

Mmm, I love the song! Katie, this guy is hilarious. I wish I could contact the people that have seen me car dancing as I cut them off or sit next to them at a stop light.
Or maybe I dont' want to talk to them. That would be embarassing. I'll just continue to believe that no one sees me. Posts: 6415 | Registered: Jul 2000

My brother-in-law would so love the Lego-zone video. I don't find it funny, though, just impressive and a little scary that someone would do that.
The song is now stuck in my head, of course. Oh, well, if you have to listen to pop, I suppose there's worse stuff than that.
BTW, don't go to the home page of the site Katie originally linked to if you don't want to see a not-so-great (dare I say, slash-dot worthy?) picture right in the middle of your screen. Katie, how did you find that, hmmm? Posts: 21182 | Registered: Sep 2004

I declare it pornographic. Just in case anyone doesn't get that I'm kidding and ribbing Tom.
P.S. I am pretty sure the song is not German. I am less certain it isn't French. Too many palatal glides, not enough gutturals for German. And the absence of what we call a long i.

mothertree, I don't know who told you that, but it's wrong; Lithuanian is on a whole other branch, related only to the other Baltic languages. Italian and Romanian are the two languages that remain closest to the original Latin, IIRC.

Portuguese is also very close to Latin, but not as much as Romanian or Italian (more than French, though).

Does anyone else think he looks like Kryten from Red Dwarf at the very beginning until he starts pumping his fists?

Huh, a girl I knew of Lithuanian descent used to say so. I've never personally experienced Lithuanian. She wasn't a linguist, but she did have her degree in French and knew a fair bit about languages. But she may have gotten the info from her mom, who was a civil servant turned criminal psychologist.

Wow...I don't do that...I stopped chair dancing a long time ago. I have to stand up now. Mostly cause I do a lot of wierd stuff with my feet (Looks cool, though).

Watching and listening to that made me feel happy. I didn't really find it funny, though. And I think I might have to buy that album.

I'm at work so I can't be sure, but if it's the song I'm thinking it is, I'd like to point out that it was my cell phone signal the enire time I was in America. So there.
