One degree of separation I think, maybe two at most. I never figure the degrees of separation correctly. But I just found out today that a friend I love dearly worked with and/or knew 4 people who were killed in the mudslide.
I've been keeping an eye on things, since I do know quite a few people out there, but so far it hadn't hit *quite* so close to home.
