It is snowing in Houston, Texas.

I know there's some other thread about snowing but I can't find it and I don't care cause it's SNOWING!!! Big, fat dumps of snow, with wind so hard you can't look into it because it hurts your eyes from all the mad crazy snow impact. I made a snow momma, an a snow baby, an we took pictures, an my hands are cold. And now we're sitting around eating Christmas Queso.

Now, if you really understood how rare and amazing snowfall like that is in Houston you wouldn't be jealous at all.

I grew up in Nacogdoches, two hours north of Houston, and I had enough snow to build a snowman once, when I was six. That was it. All those years of children praying for white Christmasses has finally paid off. Yay!

Actually, my parents were in Houston today, picking up someone at the airport. I wonder how bad the travel weather was.

It's not sticking, so when the sun went down it was just a light dusting. It's stopped now, but maybe we'll get more in the night, when it should be in the teens (!). It was good snow, though, nice and powdery.

Wow. Here it's been raining all week and there's no snow on the ground at all. It was 15°C outside today. Unusual to say the least.
