I installed and switched to Firefox about a week ago. Since then, every time I come to Hatrack, I am no longer able to use the "jump to new posts" button correctly. It takes me to the first post in the thread, regardless of whether it was 5 minutes or 5 days or 5 months ago. Every thread on the forum has the yellow folder for "new posts since last visit". It's not critical to my reading experience but it is frustrating to try and keep track of what I've already read before.

Is this a Firefox issue or just something with my machine? I remember seeing some posts before I made the switch about not being able to insert smileys in the right places, so I'm wondering if this is related. If it's not a global Firefox issue, any ideas on how to make this problem go away?

Have you tried going into "my profile" and choosing "update new post indicators"?

Figures, now that I complain, it works. And no I didn't go into Profile. I didn't know about that till FG posted it, but I'll remember it for future.

edit: Or not. Above was my last post for the session, I went off to do something else and before I got involved came back to here, and EVERYTHING is unread again. <humph> Trying setting indicators now.

edit again: setting Indicators didn't work either.
