TV has devolved into a cultural wasteland, imho. I can't watch mainstream TV without feeling sick after a few minutes. The Fairness Doctrine used to encourage/enforce the mass media to serve the public interest by having balanced views. Now 95% of all mass media is owned by six corporations and has almost abandoned real news in lieu of gossip used for selling stuff.

I'm in favor of examining this again. I think it might have a place once more.

Good ol' censorship. The masses have the wrong opinion? Hehe. Control the TV and Radio -- get them back in line.
