Fay Wray dead at 96

Which, frankly, was a bit of a shock since I didn't know she was still alive.

Whatever happened to Fay Wray?
That delicate satin draped frame --
As it clung to her thigh,
How I started to cry
'Cause I wanted to be dressed just the same....

quote:
She was born Vina Fay Wray on Sept. 15, 1907, near Cardston in rural Alberta, Canada. Her parents moved to the United States when she was 3, first trying farming in Arizona, and eventually returning to Salt Lake City, where Wray's mother was from. Later, they settled in Los Angeles.
Wow. Cardston, Arizona and SLC? I bet she was Mormon.

Sadly, I must admit I though she had passed long ago, too. [Frown]

I didn't even know her name. To me, she always was "that girl in King-Kong's palm". [Frown]

I feel a little guilty.

That's probably a good thing, considering Godzilla.

FayWray did see the JessicaLang/WorldTradeCenter remake.
Took part in the pre-release and post-release publicity campaign. May even have had a cameo appearance.

Wow. I also didn't know she was alive. I was distantly aware that I had heard she was still alive a while ago, but I assumed she'd died and I just hadn't been told.

By the by, Tom, I immediately thought that when I saw the thread title too. [Razz]
