If you want, I'll get his autograph for you.
Anyone watch American Idol? Anyone? I can't, but my coworkers do. Anyway, I went to Sunday Night Brownies and Games at the home of one of the Beautiful People here in Dallas yesterday, and one of them brought Jon Peter Lewis with her. He came to church yesterday at our ward - this makes sense; it's the singles ward for downtown Dallas, and the American Idol finalists are in town for the tour.
Anyway, about 12 people there last night, played Apples to Apples (I won) and chess (Jon won), ate brownies, and talked a little bit. I didn't know who he was, but I found out later why Allyson was flipping out - not seriously, I don't think, but for the same reason I played Hey Ya for four days straight. It's fun to flip out every once in a while.
Anyway, does anyone care? Can someone be impressed? I think he's coming to our FHE tonight, so if you have any requests, I'll do my best to ask them. If you want to know he's like, he's like any other goofy, short Mormon kid.

I liked Jon Peter Lewis. I just really felt like American Idol wasn't the right format for him. He wasn't the "kind" of singer they are looking for. But he definately had talent.

Kat, Apparently, you do not remember the fervor(embarrassed, though it may have been) with which I followed American Idol. In fact, my daughter and I are going to see the Am Idol Tour in Albany. Fourth row. IN FACT, she and my son would do serious backflips if you could get his autograph. He is a cutie, and I think he will go far in his career if he sticks to it. He has charisma and talent. Just please, tell him to stop dancing!

I did have a good time - Sunday night is usually fun. I really like the Beautiful People - I don't have a lot in common with them (except for the LDS, age, and, uh, the beautiful thing - except for one, nobody really reads and there are no fellow geeks in sight), but everyone is very nice and very welcoming. They are also very social, and that means I don't have to be. I like that.
Elizabeth, what are the kids names? I'll do my best - I think he's coming tonight, but I'm not sure. If he does, I'll ask.

You can tell your kids that he's good at chess, wears snarky t-shirts, and occasionally bursts into song in the middle of conversations sometimes, though.
