I walked away really disliking it. I had fun throughout the movie, but in the end it just sucked. The main reasons I've found for disliking it is that the characters, while appearing to have a lot of depth to them in the first half of the movie, turn out to really be flat. Also, in the end, what did any of it matter- a problem I had with the ending of Signs? I think it could have maybe went on for another 15 minutes and gotten a better ending.
Like I said, the biggest problem is the fact that in the end, what does it matter? I just didn't care.
Ok, there's the spoiler free review. Now for spoilers.
Ron had heard that it was a thinly-veiled political allegory, with some fearmongering leader named Walker (Dubya) being ... I dunno... like, wrong. *giggles*
I haven't seen it, so I don't really know if that's a spoiler or not, but... Do you think it is a political allegory?

Political Allegory? No... uh, don't think so. Ok, well if you want to know what the big huge "point" of the movie was....
****Bit of spoilers****
The "Elders", people who founded the village, are the cause of the fear in the village. They decided a while ago that the world sucked, so they built the village, and with the help of the monsters, make sure that no one went to any of the other towns.
