CT wore a beard to a movie theater at the first WenchCon. At the second, I went in the hottub in my slip. I can't even claim I was drunk. Ophelia wore the beard at WenchCon II. T_Smith's floor show was also a highlight.
There are pictures. Linky, Mack?

I thought I would be attending as well, but it turns out my grandparents are having their 50th anniversary shindig on the very days of the Con, and, well, I can't very much miss that. Stupid naked timing.

Arent you all afraid someone who shows up to one of these things is a crazy human eater? I mean, after all, we dont really know these people. And you always hear those stories about creepy internet stalkers.

My other hand was full of stuff I was taking to the meeting room. It was late. I was tired and didn't want my pic taken. I had no idea I was a lesbian. Whatever will my beloved say?

Oh I know! We can all watch Return of the King and I can give my Tolkien dissertation on the history of Numenor/Gondor, the fading High Elves, the White Tree as the last link to Heaven, and the hobbits as the ennoblement of the humble! Yay!
Don't worry, it should only be an hour or two long...

OK I know someone has to have numbers on the # of people at the first wenchon, the # of people at the second wench con (which as I recall was much bigger) and the number of people at Endercon.
We are looking at nearly 50 people at Kamacon and I'm just wondering where that falls in in the grand scheme of history.

Endercon was a few hundred. (edit: based the the crowd "feeling" to be the same size as a church gathering) Heck, I ran into a guy I didn't date in Highschool. Even at that time, I remembered thinking that folks who post a lot on hatrack must be really weird.

I'm arriving in NYC late on Friday, 6th August, and am staying there until we head for Chicago.
And then I'll be in Philly from Sunday, the 22th (don't know what time yet, though) to maybe Wednesday. I'll continue to be in the area, though, I'll be staying with a friend in Lumberton, NJ, until Saturday.

There were, like, nine people at the first Wenchcon. It was just going to be Belle and me going to see TT together, then folks started saying "Hey, I wanna come to!" even though they lived far away. It was organic, and not really a staged 'event.' (Guest list: Olivet/Olivetta, Olivet's sister Judy, Belle, Fael, ladyday, kwsni, psycho Triad, Rakeesh, CT, and the esteemed Head Wench- Jenny Gardener. Mackillian got snowed in and couldn't make it )
WenchCon II had about ten wenches and about 15-20 young single males. Actually, that may have just been how it FELT. (Calvin Maker counts for at least two, since he popped No-Doze all weeekend).
I need to look at the WenchCon video again. I forgot the camcorder batteries so it's not as cool as it would have been if it hadn't had to be plugged into the wall. I should look. I may be forced to destroy it. *thinks* Maybe I'll just excerpt certain bits for blackmail purposes.

Pooka, you must have dated a lot. I ran into tons of guys and girls that I never dated in high school.
