take out the last $200.00 in my savings account and go to the ocean for the week-end?

Cast your vote -

I'll tally and decide after Nathan's baseball game, 10:00 PM PST.

YES!

I wish I was near the sea. This morning I woke up and the air was wet from the rain, and except for the lack of salt-smell it felt like I was near the sea...

I love the sea, but I'm not a beach-swimmer person. I'm a rockpool, sand-castle, wild-wind and grey sky person [Smile] .

Need more information . . . I'm leaning toward yes, but first I need to know how much of a risk this is. How soon until your account will be replenished? Any bills that will have to be pushed significantly past due to swing this? Do you have a fall-back plan (and funds) if some emergency occurs between tapping out the account and replenishment?

Know what? Forget what I said. Just go! [Smile] Have fun! [Big Grin]

I'm with rivka. If you can easily replenish it, then yeah, go for it, but I personally like to always have money in there for the "just in cases".

I'm confused about the necessity of the link between "the sea" and spending your last $200. Can you not get there without spending the money, or is it that in order to stay there you must spend the money?

I suggest going to the sea for free.

Best of both worlds.

If you go, be wild and reckless because it may cost you a lot more than the $200 in your account.

Are we talking the PacNW coast here? I'm not sure that's worth spending all your money on. It's cold and rainy, even this time of year.

Yes, PacNW - but very beautiful, hot weather currently. I'm melting.

If there is money in my savings it's because I didn't have to apply it to any bills (yippee)-

however, you all are perfectly correct - I should go and be wild and free but not spend my hard-earned and not easily saved dollars . . . .

It is rare to hear me speak highly of Nova Scotia, but one of the things I really and truly miss is the water. $200 and the time for a trip to an ocean sounds like a steal. By all means, go.

Hey, Shigosei... Pacific Northwest coast trips are definitely worth taking. Although you can get a $94 ticket for camping on the beach these days... My poor friend found this out the hard way.

Where are you in the PNW? I remember at Ocean Shores last year, campsites were only $16/night.
