I'm with you, Scott. I'm a HUGE fan of homemade soups -- particularly chowders and bisques, although since Christy doesn't like seafood, I'm getting out of the habit.

I just recently discovered bisques, with this deliciously spicey lobster bisque at a swanky restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA. (Olde Town Steak and Seafood, on the chance you're in the neighborhood)
If anyone's interested, Safeway sells a tomato and basil bisque that is simply, and suprisingly, delicious.
