Actually, at the moment, they really do stink. So, we have to make as much as we can of this, before they come back to kick our butts in the fall when it counts.

You can't take food into the ball park in Boston? Wow. You can here. There are all kinds of snack vendors outside Safeco field.
And come to think of it...you can bring food into the Coliseum in Oakland. We went to Thursday's game against the Yankees. It was a good game, but I admit wanting *both* teams to lose. *Diehard Mariners' fan who doesn't care that they are at the bottom of the MLB*

Part of the problem is that fenway park has the smallest capacity of the major league stadiums (just over 33,000 or something like that). Very small. So they have to make money in other ways in order to keep up the payroll. But it has lead to seventy some odd games being sold out in a row.
Which makes sox tix incredibly hard to get and expensive.

Heh, I smuggle food into ball games all the time - stick it in my purse, under my wallet and/or wear a skirt with BIG pockets. The food is so expensive in the stadium, and most of it is not kosher.
Have fun at the game, Jamie!
