As if I needed a reason to move away from using AOL's AIM software, here's another reason - spyware. With the latest version, people are reporting that they are seeing a program called Viewpoint (coincidentally, installing the entire AOL program will also install this).
In addition, when you install the software, AOL makes an unauthorized entry to make free.aol.com a trusted website.

AOL is all one big virus anyway. I attribute it to my old hard drive crashing. love my COX cable internet service using a freeware Flashpeak SlimBrowser. no troubles
