I know I'm disagreeing with these fine folks, but honestly. Who actually enjoys living in that mosqutio-ridden armpit of a state?

Actually, a lot of Texas is beautiful, just a step down from Arizona. Lousiana has a worse mosquito problem, and Georgia smells much, much worse.

For the most part, Texas is pretty nice. Although I don't agree with much of their politics, I like the land.

I met some girls from Texas. They nearly served us catfries, but it was really fried osters. wonder we didn't all start sprouting hair due to the placebo effect.

I can't speak for all of Texas, but I really enjoy the Bryan/College Station area. It's not paradise or anything closely resembling paradise, but it has a lot of fun things to do, some great restaurants and even a bit of culture.
I even like Texans. Mostly, they are just fun loving, hard working people, like everywhere else.
I could do without the dominance of the Republican party politics here. But then, I really don't like any political parties.

Yeah, those picture say so much because there exists somewhere a state where every inch of land looks like the imagination of people who hate it. I doubt too many people will actually leap up to defend the possibility that even some parts of Texas are beautiful, so I willhavetodoit. Alright, so maybe the last picture speaks against me, but I only like it because it's taken from where I spent so much time.
Catfries? Are you sure you don't mean calf fries? And if so, then their only relation to oysters (I think that's what you were saying Synth), then it is that they are of the Rocky Mountain variety. In other words, not oysters at all.
I still maintain that Texas is no better, and no worse, than any other state. It's full of human beings, and no matter how much you may find it convienient to dismiss that idea, they are exceedingly similar to you. I'm sure that reminder will distress some of you to a great deal, but oh well.
Alright, I tried to tell myself no more ranting in fluff threads (in a dobie thread no less), so I'll wander off now. And keep unpacking.
