In the Xbox/PC game Halo, a first-person shooter/action game, the protagonist of the plot wears a special suit of armor that has rechargable shields, life support, integerated communication, ect.
Somebody actually made a replica of the suit without all the techie stuff in it. They're selling them for about $3,500.

These things are actually for sale? How does someone justify that purchase? "Dude, Halo 2 is coming out, and I have nothing to wear for the release party, can I borrow $3,500"
Screw Halo multiplayer, just get a couple friends (supposing you have friends) to buy these things, then blast each other with paintballs!

Hey, it would solve the problems with people coming in with Angel markers with electronic firing mechanisms and giving everybody 5 bruises a round each.
