11 Nominations. Wow.... I was hoping for more, but I guess they don't think the acting was anything great. So I think best pic and best dir are a given. How many of the others? What's the record for most oscars?

It's a pity that there isn't an award for "Best Achievement". Because Jackson did achieve something amazing. But was it the *best* movie? I don't know… probably not. Was he the best director? In terms of coordinating things, probably. In terms of what he got his actors to do, again, probably not. I'm not saying I didn't love the movie. But I certainly wasn't blown away by it. 'Course, there's a lot of movies on that list that I haven't seen, so maybe I'm not the best judge. I just don’t find it hard to believe that there might be something better than it out there.
