Something like Cranky Kong? Just muttering to himself how everything used to be better and waving his cane...

I don't know if there are any metrics on this first iteration of the last post thread, but I am pretty sure you're in the lead, MarekAgain.

In theory there shouldn't be anything difficult about running the script on this thread. I've just never bothered.

If you were to do so, it would bring up interesting questions. How could the actual last post ever be made? Would it just be the sum of the times in last place in both of the threads? Or would this thread be weighed differently, it being the original?

Were I to, the easy way would be to just change the url and rerun it for this thread, ignoring the other thread and giving the results for this one alone.
That should, ideally, be just a single line change. Any other would take more effort. In truth, I mostly haven't run it yet because I feel a bit bad about scraping the 90ish pages. (even though I have done the several hundred page other thread, but that was in smaller chunks since data is cached between uses.) Not that it matters in any real way, 90 pageviews is an utter drop in the bucket to any real server.

I'm really not pushing for the numbers on this thread to be revealed. As long as they are unknown I can consider myself as being close to the first position. My score in this thread would definitely have a negative impact on those standings.

i'm pretty sure i have at least three screen names in this thread, do i get extra points for that?

Nope, no extra points. The time spent in last post position for each screen name should be added to reach a grand total for each RL poster. You'll have to submit proof that all screen names actually belong to you, otherwise the post will not count toward your total.
P.S. I am glad I did not post in this thread under my previous screen name. I don't think I'd care to own up to much of the stuff I posted initially.

Oh darn! It's the fuzz! I swear that my postings under my one and only other screen name were in no way breaking the rules. No repercussions are required. They're mostly just embarrassing.

At long last, I've run the leaderboard script on this thread. Here are the results.
Unsurprisingly, aspectre's more than six year run from 2008 to 2014 was enough for a dominating win in its own right.
Marek took a solid second with a bit under two and a half years, while Mr Y was close to two. After them, Stone_Wolf, Probot 2.0, and Eruve Nandiriel all managed over a year each as the last post.
Can't say I participated in this one as much, and it only has 90 pages despite predating the tng thread. On the other hand, a lot of that is because it was forgotten for a long while after aspectre made their post. Eighty eight pages for the first four years, and only two in the seven years after its revival. Not only are they the winner, but arguably the champion thread killer.
