I woke up this morning with a slight sore throat and a cough. I don't have any other symptoms, and I don't feel under the weather at all. The cough is pretty bad, though. I feel as though I've inhaled some water accidentally while taking a drink. I'm a bit short of breath because of this.
I do have asthma, though it's exercised-induced. I didn't do anything that could aggravate it. So, any idea what this could be? Do I need to go see a doctor now, or can I wait to see if it gets worse? Also, those of you who live in the Southwest, is it possible I have Valley Fever? I've heard about it, but I'm not entirely certain what the symptoms are.

While we're paging the Hatrack doctors, what about a bump on my head that has been there without going away for several weeks now?

I have no medical training, but the following additional info might be helpful those who do:
Shigosei, any fever? Possible allergic exposure?
Ic, how did you get the bump? (You do realize that if you KEEP doing this , the bump won't go away, neh? )

Actually, I don't know. I could have bumped it at some point, or maybe I bumped it and it hurt because a bump was already there. I have no recollection of any serious head bangage.

No fever, although I'm starting to ache all over. It's probably not an allergic reaction, although it's possible that something triggered my asthma. I think a cold is the most likely explanation right now, so I'll be getting some rest and drinking lots of fluids.
And I'd better get better in time for the signing this weekend.

I would recommend going to see a doc, because strep throat is going around here in town right now.
I went to go see my doctor this afternoon for what I thought was a cold/sinus infection that I came down with on Saturday. Turns out I have strep too....

It was bad enough to ask us, so its probably bad enough to go to a doctor. Especially as on campus doctors are usually cheap (or rather, you've already paid for them ). Might as well get your money's worth . . .

Ugh, I think I have the flu. I'll go to the health center tomorrow, though I doubt it will do much good. They can put me down on their list of flu casualties.
