A couple of weeks ago, I attended a "train the trainers" meeting, so that I could start teaching tax classes for the company I work for next spring. During this meeting, we were told that instructions for getting online and checking e-mail would be posted beside a computer in each of the offices so we could print some of the paperwork our students would need for class. I would be teaching classes on Saturdays at one location, and Tuesday and Thursday evenings at another.
Last Saturday was my first class. Friday evening I went to the office to make sure my key worked, check e-mail, print papers, etc. No instructions. That's okay, I just typed the information myself and printed it along with everything else...
I only had 2 students on my roster for the Saturday class. Saturday morning, I had one student, and she wasn't on my roster. During a break, I called both other students and left them messages. Saturday evening, I get a call from one of them saying that she was told the class was cancelled and she was assigned to another class. NOBODY TOLD ME!!!
Last night, I went to the other office. No instructions. I e-mailed the entire situation to the main office this morning. Nothing. I e-mailed my supervisor a couple of hours later. Nothing. I called her.
All of my classes have been CANCELLED! But nobody told me! They have my home number. They have my private e-mail address. They have my cell number. They even have my husband's cell number. Nobody thought to call!!!
All this is bad enough...but they are blaming the entire situation on a lady that just quit to go work for another tax place. This lady happens to be a friend of mine, and certainly would have told me if she knew anything about this.
Gah!!!!
I'm also having problems with my children's PCP and the school, but that's an entirely different post!

No, not really hun, but thanks for the sentiment. I'm just frustrated and angry. I'll get over it, given a little while to cool off.

I hate getting the run-around. And then they blame it all on a friend who quit. Just grin and bare it, Boon. ((((Boon))))
I think it's primary care physician", Frisco. But if not, dibs on the reward money for ratting Boon out to the feds.

Okay, all that wasn't bad enough...
The class tonight was supposed to start at 6pm. At 6:15, I get a call at home from one of the students. They are waiting outside the office for an instructor. They were told that either I or a man would be there to teach the class.
I call the same supervisor I talked to earlier, no answer. I called the next sup on the list, told him that the student had just called me, that the first sup had told me my classes were cancelled, ant that I wasn't teaching *any* classes. He says, "I'll figure it out, thanks for calling." Click.
I'm either being lied to and jerked around, or the first supervisor is covering for one of the incompetent employees. Either way:
((PCP = primary care physician, an evil concept invented by even more evil HMOs))
