Joyful for their brother Knight, Sir Saxon, and pleased to be taking the final steps on their Quest, King Arthur and the remaining Knights of the Round Table ventured into the Cave of Caerbannog. It smelled dank, and the crunch of many rabbit droppings filled the air.
Deeply they entered, until, in the guttering light of their torches, they came upon the promised message, the directions for where they may at long last, seek the Holy Grail. The shadows stirred, but they were so entranced with the message, they failed to notice.
“Look! There!” cried King Arthur. If he had to submit to taking directions, he could at least be the one to discover them.
“What does it say?” asked Bedevere.
“What language is this?” said Gawain, squinting at the carvings.
“Baron Feyd, Knight of Northumberland, you are a scholar. What say these words?” inquired Bedevere.
Feyd squinted at the carvings and then drew back in awe. “It is Aramaic!”
“Of course!” replied Galahad. “Joseph of Aramathea!”
“He died in the Middle East, why would he have left a message in Britain?” asked Synesthesia, recently written into the story as Bedevere’s loyal steed.
“Hush!” hissed Bedevere.
The Baron continued, reading slowly, “Here may be found the last words of Joseph of Aramathea.”
“Oh this is such crap,” muttered Synesthesia.
“Shut UP,” said Bedevere. The rest of the knights stirred, clanking with excitement.
“He who is victorious and pure of heart...” read the Baron, “may find the Holy Grail in the aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhh....”
“What?” asked Arthur.
“The Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhh,” replied the Baron, confidently.
“What’s that?” asked Bedevere.
“He must have died while carving it,” answered Feyd. “Either that or he was observing Talk Like A Pirate Day.”
“Oh, come on.”
“That’s what it says,” defended the Baron.
“But if he was dying, he wouldn’t have bothered to carve ‘aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhh’. He’d just say it,” argued Arthur.
“Look, that’s what it says. It’s carved right there in stone.”
“Perhaps he was dictating,” suggested Galahad.
“Shut up,” grumbled Arthur. “Is that all it says?”
“That’s all. Aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggghhhh.”
Bedevere spoke up. “Do you suppose he meant the Camargue?”
“Where’s that?” asked Arthur.
“France, I think.”
All around them came a muffled roar, reverberating and echoing through the cave.
“Hey!” cried Gawain.
“No, that’s in Hereford,” answered Bedevere, still deep in concentration over the puzzle.
“No....HEY!” insisted Gawain.
“Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhh, like in the back of the throat,” corrected Lancelot.
Gawain, ready to wet himself, said urgently, “No, ‘Hey’, as in surprise and alarm!” He gestured wildly to the mouth of the cave. “Look!”
They all turned and beheld the most fearsome two dimensional cartoon creature in all of England. It roared its protest, and ink drawn lines of stress rippled across its body. Fearsome teeth the size of quills pointed from its impossibly large mouth.
“Oh....my....God.” stuttered Arthur.
“What is it?” asked Lancelot.
“I know! I know! I know!” cried Bedevere, hopping up and down. “It’s the....the....oh blast, it’s right on the tip of my tongue. I hate when that happens.”
The creature roared hideously again.
“Oh yes! Now I remember! It’s The Legendary Black Beast of Aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!” Bedevere looked pleased to have remembered so well and tried to look humbly proud.
The creature drew itself into the cave and ate Synesthesia in a horrifying crunch of bones against teeth. Blood dribbled out of the beast’s mouth.
“My faithful steed!!” mourned Bedevere.
Then the Legendary Black Beast of Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrggggghhhhh! gobbled up the Baron Feyd, Knight of Northumberland.
Satisfied, the tiny horde of screaming black dressed spies rampaged into the animator’s office, stabbed him a dozen times, then swept off for the final scene, which would determine the winner.

This lynch vote will decide it. In the event of a tie, I'll come up with something. The sooner you can have your deliberations complete, the better, because I have a date tonight with my husband. I'd like to write the final scene today.

I would think it was either me or muppet. So I'll go with fugu13. (I haven't implicated you yet!)

Hey, hey... If it's just a paper cut, then why am I dead, huh? It couldn't have gotten infected this fast.

Feyd was a townie?! Well, I'm still suspicious of sarcasticmuppet more than anyone else. I just can't see mafia voting for themselves (Erik), and fugu13 hasn't posted much, but wasn't there something wrong with his internet? So sarcasticmuppet is my vote.

It would be crazy if we all died, or tied. Would that be the first Mafia game with no winners? This could be history in the making...(though I would rather survive, of course )

I have a plan for a tie. Could you all have your votes finalized by 5pm Hatrack time? 2pm Pacific?

Hmmm, well, looks like I could either agree with sarcasticmuppet or with Pajeba. I have to go soon, so I better decide now.
I'm not voting with Erik. But I could vote for him, I suppose. He was the first to ask for Feyd's lynching. However, I really don't think the last mafioso would have done that -- he or she would have held back more with so much on the line. And he's done the same thing here.
I could vote for pajeba, but that does create a situation where sarcasticmuppet could vote for me and off me. Besides, I don't think pajeba is mafia, or else she would have tossed in a vote with Erik to lynch me, pretty much ensuring victory.
I think I'm going to vote with pajeba, and vote against sarcasticmuppet, because neither of the others seems like mafia. It's not my best reasoning to date, but it's what I've got, and besides, I need to get along to my interview.
edit: stupid me, I was confused over who had voted. the above has been edited so it makes sense. Basically, i though Erik hadn't voted and sarcastic had. My reasoning still basically makes sense.

okay, here's how us four voted over, in order, the course of the game:
Day 1 --Fugu expressed his dislike for abstaining but didn't vote --Erik also didn't like the idea of abstaining and voted for Ryuko (citizen) --I also didn't like the idea of abstaining and voted for Erik (?) --pajeba abstained
Day 2 --Erik still didn't like the idea of abstaining and voted for himself --I voted for hansenj (mafia) then changed it to Demander (mafia) --Pajeba didn't post --Fugu didn't post
Day 3 --pajeba voted for hansenj (mafia) --Erik voted for hansenj --I voted for hansenj --fugu posted yet did not vote
Day 4 --Erik voted for jamaha (citizen) --I voted for jamaha --pajeba voted for jamaha --fugu didn't post. I assume at this time he didn't have internet
Day 5 --Patsy warned fugu against dying of natural causes --Erik Abstained --I voted for Sopwith (citizen) --fugu found an AOL disk and posted, but still didn't vote --pajeba didn't vote
Day 6 --Erick voted for Avadaru (citizen) --fugu voted for Ralphie (citizen) --pajeba voted for Ralphie --I voted for Ralphie
Day 7 --Erik voted for Ryan Hart (mafia) right off the bat --fugu voted for Ryan Hart --I voted for Ryan Hart --Pajeba voted for Ryan Hart
Day 8 --I voted for celia (mafia) --Erik voted for celia a lot --fugu voted for celia --pajeba voted for celia
Day 9 --Erik voted for Feyd Baron (citizen), changed it to me, changed it back to Feyd Baron --I voted for Feyd Baron --Pajeba voted for Feyd Baron --fugu didn't post
It is, therefore, with a heavy heart that I vote for fugu13. Pajeba, I beg you to reconsider your vote. I think the mafia member's been lying low, and Fugu's only voted three times. The lack of internet doesn't hold water, because he's posted for six days of the nine. Three of those, he posted yet did not vote.

Just got back from class, so I technically missed the new deadline. . .but I don't think I would have changed my vote anyway. I am sure one of you two is mafia, and now we get to see what happens with this tie. Sorry sm . . . um, way to take one for the team?

Since there is a tie, I will be emailing each living player with three questions. Please do not use the internet to answer these questions once you've read them. It is not cheating to try to anticipate what the questions might be and look up the answer. It *is* cheating to look up the answer after you've read the questions. This is on the honor system, but I know that you will all be honest.
I will reveal to you who is on what side, so you can work with your team mate.
No ghosts, please. I'll use the answers to direct the final story.

funny, mine was Assyria. And there was no way for me to see if I was right. I tried finding the capital of Assyria on Worldbookonline after I sent it, and apparently, it doesn't have one.

y'know, I'm really surprised I've lasted the whole game. I expected to be a mafia victim by now.
