Yeah, well, NFL, I don't think ANYONE is saying Bush was right all along. Not even members of his own party and his own administration. There is an awful lot of hemming, hawing and hedging going on.
Could you BE more of a drone?

Does bush ever make anything but the most vague of statements?
He's knows he's not as slick as clinton, so instead of defending what he has to say later, he just keeps to the most general of claims

Can you prove I don't have three legs? I can't disprove what Kennedy is claiming because I'm not privy to what information he is. Likewise if you knew me you could prove I didn't have three legs because you would see there are only two. It's difficult to trust Kennedy considering the kind of person he's shown us that he is.

Hasn't our military budget ALWAYS had giant holes in it we didn't explain? Is this war unique? I'd like to see the figures for past military operations and see how they line up.

What pisses me off about the Dems is that they should've stood up to the Republicans much earlier. None of them had the balls to. Only after it became clear that Bush was wrong did the Dems respond.
What the F*L do I need them for if they only stand up for my beliefs when it is safe to do so.

Well, there's standing up for your beliefs and then there's being an idiot. During the Democratic debates, I got pretty sick of Kucinich slamming Kerry et al for approving the war in Iraq. I mean, sure, it's his only trump card and he's got to play it, but I have a lot more respect for politicians who are able to compromise with the opposition when necessary and stand by their decision to do so, even when it becomes unpopular. Kucinich seems like all he wants to do is ineffectually rail against his enemies.

That is precisely where the hole lays: one can make comparisons with past military operations like those in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Somalia, etc, then adjust for inflation to come up with a cost per troop per day figure. Which leads to the conclusion that spending is twice any expectable amount.
It would be simple for the Administration to provide a budget breakdown to explain the discrepancy.

It depends what you mean by "compromise." If you are talking about a reasonable resolution of difference where both sides gave up something to get something in return, then yes, I too respect people who stick by their bargains.
However, the "compromise" the Democrats engaged in is not a give and take. It is basically a compromise of their personal values and a aborogation of their duty as elected officials. Now they want to attack the war? Too little too late.
BTW, I give Kerry a little more respect, at least he has served in a war.
