I've thought about it before... World's oldest woman turns 116 . If I want to break the record for the longest marriage I'll only have to live to 104. The trouble is getting The Man there.

You know, I can't, for the life of me, remember which morning show I was watching, but I saw a news report about this last week, or so, and the group could barely contain themselves. At least on of them said if that was what 116 looked like, they didn't want to be 116. [Eek!] The whole thing really surprized me.

George Burns gave the best answer.

Someone once asked him, "Who on earth wants to live to be one hundred years old?"

He responded, "Almost everyone who is ninety-nine."

What I loved is that they observe "Respect for your elders day". I wonder if anyone grumbles "That's everyday around here." You know, how parents are when the kids say "We've got mother's and father's day, when is children's day?

I think being the oldest person would be very depressing to me. I mean, think about it. Everyone on the planet who was alive when you were born would be dead. Kind of a lonely feeling taken from that perspective.

My goal is to live to 114, then I will have lived through all of the 2000's!

Out of 5.5 billion (when I was born) I am the one who makes it. It would be just like conception all over again.
