So it looks like I'll be making a rapid-fire trip to Udaho, helping my good friend move to Provo. I'll probably be spending all day Monday on the bus back, so the only time I have to play will be Saturday night.
My proposal:
Any interested Utah Jatraqueros are free to join me for dinner Saturday night at my favorite Salt Lake restaurant, the Cedars of Lebanon. Email me if you'd like to come, and I'll make a reservation... I'm thinking 7:00 ish but we can cement those plans when we find out who all wants to come.
So RSVP! Don't be shy!
I even think they have belly dancers Saturday nights, and you Utah boys know you don't want to miss out on that

You ask people to e-mail you if they are interested, then say to RSVP. Since, theoretically, you are extending an invitation to everyone, do we all really need to respond, or only those who are interested? I want to do the right thing, but since I don't live anywhere near where you're going to be, I'm not going to come. According to the RSVP, I should e-mail you and let you know, but according the first part, since I'm not interested, I really don't need to do anything.
This is causing an internal conflict in my programming. . .
I deeply regret that I won't be able to make it. Thank you so much for inviting me, though. I hope you'll think of me while you are there. I will be there in spirit, if not in any corporeal way. Raise a glass to me.
Your friend, Anne Kate

Well, I will be in Provo as of Thursday morning, but I don't think I'd be able to make it to Salt Lake on Saturday. My parents and little sister will still be there with me, and I'll want to spend time with them (they go back home on Sunday).
Maybe next time...

Come on, people now. I happen to know there are plenty of you here in Salt Lake. Don't try to tell me you can't come. Let's give that Cedars of Lebanon restaurant what for! Who's with me?

Yes, the belly dancers do intimadate me. I don't think I can appreciate their talent on an artistic level. Therefore it will either make me sick, or even worse I might like it.

Annie, I will be in Wyoming on Saturday so I'm afraid I won't be able to join the party. I'm deeply sorry. I'm not trying to avoid you it just works out that way.

It looks like I'll be in town most of the day Monday too - I just bought a ridiculously expensive Greyhound ticket that doesn't leave Salt Lick City until 5 pm.
So, if anyone wants to bum around on Labor Day, I'm up for that as well.
I need to show my friend (she's Chinese, non-LDS, and a little out of her element) the sights and get her broken in.

I've made our reservation, folks - and I was a little optimistic on the numbers, so there will be room for those of you who really want to come but haven't told me about it.
7:00 pm - be there or be highly disappointed.
I've emailed details to everyone who showed a glimmer of interest.

Sorry Annie. I'm stuck in Provo until I figure out how to use my bus pass without getting stuck anywhere.

SM, if you have a bus sticker on your BYU ID, that will get you anywhere for free. You would just have tofind a bus that takes you to the TRAX station in Sandy and then TRAX runs straight in to downtown Salt Lake. It's really very easy to do without getting completely lost. I'd offer to come with you, but I'm going to a wedding reception and spending time with my family before they go back to Colorado.
