My goatee does very little to keep my face warm, to be honest. And really, it's my nose and ears that are the problem.

Well, friends, it's almost the five year anniversary of the Daily Sideburn Report. I have to say, it's been anything but daily. But I do still have the sideburns. It's pretty amazing that I've had sideburns straight for five years. I have a beard right now as well, a product of my laziness. I wonder if I'll ever remove the sideburns. I don't know right now. When I created this thread, I was a junior in high school. Now I am graduating from college. Aside from learning a few things, my sideburns have gotten much thicker. I love you all, thank you for reading this. I will continue to keep you all updated about the status of my sideburns. XOXO --Rudolph

*grin* I'm glad you're still posting in this thread Rudolph. Makes me grin every time it wanders back up to the front page

Four months ago I was married. I proudly wore my sideburns as my bride walked down the aisle. Thank you Hatrack for letting me share my life with you through sideburns.

it's really pretty incredible that this thread has existed for nearly EIGHT YEARS.
and even more incredible that my sideburns have existed for OVER EIGHT YEARS. (with one brief hiatus for no-shave-november festivities)
does this make me ultra-COOL or ultra-LAME?
either way, THE BURNS ARE GOING STRONG BABY!
and speaking of babies, no, there are no sideburn-sporting babies on the way yet for the rudolph clan. BUT rest assured that whenever the time comes, they will spring from the womb with fully grown BURNS! (male or female)

Now there's a scary thought.

This is really great. I can't imagine keeping a regular report of anything for 13 years, let alone my facial hair.

Do the sideburns not get absorbed into the beard, therefore eliminating them as sovereign facial hair?
Fun story. First thing I did in high school after I found out I could grow honest to god for realsies facial hair was to grow the biggest, most hideous sideburns that Wolverine would be proud of.
Teenagers are stupid.

This... is puzzling. Delightful. Another Hatrack curio I had not encountered yet. Fifteen years... I am very much impressed.

I come back four years later and my last post is right there. The burn is slow and steady, and greater for it.

I really hope we get at least one more sideburn report from Rudolph before the forum shuts down.
As for me, my sideburns have been superseded by a beard, and I'm very pleased with how it looks, even though it's starting to get some gray in it.
