But I don't think those comercials were particularly pophetic... I think they were things AT&T was planning to bring to market reasonably soon...

Yes and no. They were all in the pipeline. But some took 10 years to achieve a commercially marketable form (and a few never made it, unless YOUR atm sells concert tickets).

That, and they didn't forsee the demise of pay phones, obviously!
(I don't remember them either, seeing as I was 10 and allowed only minimal tv-watching at the time.)

rivka, ATMs don't sell concert tickets, but some theaters have machines that let you buy movie tickets with your ATM card without waiting in line.
