wow some of the most intense minutes of my life where in the final 6 minutes drive to the Fighter craft.
Now I need to play+finish Halo 2 so that I'm ready for Halo 3.
Problems: I do not like the XBox
BUt ya all in all:
Halo 8 stars. out of 10.
2 star: Music 3 Story 2: gameplay 1: voice acting
Next I think Halo is awesome enough to warrant a movie of somekind but considering the content within the books wouldn't a tv series be better neh?

I've never finished it myself (I *almost* did), but I remember the introduction of the flood to be some of the most brutal FPS gaming I've ever played.

I not only beat Halo, I beat it on my Mac at legendary with a trackpad and a one button mouse. Not because I'm particularly good, but because I broke my leg and had some free time.

ya, the flood was rather brutal. Though, the machine gun or the shotgun worked very well vs the flood. The covenant weapons didn't work as well vs the flood.
Halo 2 is a lot of fun as well...though it is a little bit shorter than Halo 1.

Halo 2 is good but the replayablity is far below Halo, though the online multiplayer is great fun.
I beat Halo rather quickly, on legendary too (not first though).
Also unless you want to get beaten to a pulp try Halo 2 on Legendary on your first run. The first level of Halo 2 on legendary is one of the hardest in the game. I have yet to beat it.

I am so torqued at Microsoft for making Halo 2 a Windows Vista launch.
"So, you'll get Halo 2, like, two to three years after the X-Box people. Is that a problem?"
This at a time when they're launching this whole initiative about "Games for Windows" and cheering about what a great platform the PC is for gaming. Way to send mixed messages, guys. And make the people who buy your bleepin' OS feel like second-class citizens...

I agree that Halo 1 is more replayable than Halo 2, which you wouldn't guess since each level is unique rather than going back out the way you went in. My kindergartener loves to do "The Maw" over and over. I know both games are rated M, but Halo 2 seems a lot more violent somehow.

Halo 2 ending is all about selling Halo 3, clifhangers in games are a really bad idea. But I thought the story was great and the game itself wasn't bad. I wish Halo 3 was coming out for Xbox and not just 360.
