These guys are a very potent, christian oriented metal band that I can't get enough of right now. Anybody who likes music that deals with themes of redemption, materialism, good old fashion praise (Rose of Sharon), and a healthy dose of rightouse anger, should check them out.
Thier music is not hymns or straight praise by any means, but rather honest observation and evaluation of a secular society by christian people. Some of it is angry, but it is never hatefull, in fact an underlying theme of streanghth and persevierence is almost always at its core. It is very powerfull stuff, and to be honest can make a person feel glad to be trying to make a difference in a world that seems to glorify the negetive and destructive so much.
If you are a fan of heavy guitar, powerfull clean vocals (along with some growling), and harmony, but don't like the themes that often go with that kind of music, then check out Killswitch Engage. Don't let the name fool you, they are the good guys, and they do metal beter than most of the bad ones.

Are they really able to do this? How many secular people do you know whom you'd trust to make an honest evaluation of Christian society?

Yeah, i think so. I may disagree with them sometimes, but i think a secular person could make an honest go of it. All they have to be is honest, anyone can do that.
However when i said secular society, maybe i was being too narrow. I should have said something like 'secular points of a mixed society'.
I do think that they are honest, heartfelt at least, Without being all zealott-like. In order to get on the radio, and have more of an all-round apeal to the masses, (or for whatever motives of thier own) they tend to stick to christain themes as opposed directly being a "christian" band or doing..... praise music i guess.
I'll go look for a website so you can check them out first hand.

I've listened to them before. I don't mind them, but most conventional metal vocalists give me some trouble, and these guys are no exception.
