Any good ways to prevent it, especially if you do things like play the drums and work on a computer during the day? I'm only 21 and I don't want to kill my wrists yet...

Take a break every ten or fifteen minutes, only isntead of going Hatracking you shake your wrists out, rotate them, shadow box - anything that involves a different position.

This article from the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) gives a general overview of carpal tunnel. Most of it is technical mumbo jumbo, but I recommend reading the Prevention section at the very bottom. It has lots of good information. You are smart to prevent it now, since it is a bugger to get rid of.
