You know, there are good technicians and bad ones. Most know what they're doing, but some of them, like the guy who deals with our network today, who have no idea how to handle people. The bad techs always assume that no one knows as much about computers as they do. I'm ranting here, because I just talked to the guy who's in charge of the network at my complex about some issues the network was having. Now, I admit that I don't know as much about networks as I do about computers...but this guy bothered me. You ever get that feeling where you realize that someone thinks they are far superior to you? Yeah...I hate that. And I think that superiority complex is one of the big signs of a bad technician.

Not just in computers, man...it is usually the sign of an idiot no matter what their job is...

I agree, Kwea. In the rare cases where the person with the superiority complex is much smarter than average (and not just well-versed in the jargon'd'jour) and likes to constantly broadcast this fact, he's not an idiot but a jerk.
