I go on leave the afternoon of the 9th . My grandfather is already over there on vacation. Right now he is in Sedona. We are planning that I drive that way Wednesday afternoon and be there Thursday late afternoon (I have to make a stop to get some preventive maintenance done on the truck). Currently I only have to be there before Friday, so I guess I'm good there.
I plan on spending at least 4 days in Arizona before heading back to San Diego. However, I have 19 days (19..... wow ....that's a lot for me) of leave approoved. If anyone wants, has time or whatever, I am willing to spend more time in AZ. I am taking this leave as a much needed vacation. However, give me a week, I'll be crawling the walls wanting to get back to work.

I could do that on the way back from Sedona. Apparently the ranch that he wants to take me to is only open from wed - sat. By getting there late Thursday night it gives enough time go there with a day of spare. After all.....I am having the brakes done, oil changed, radiator fluid flushed and filled with new upper and lower hoses. That takes up quite a bit of thursday morning.
But yeah, that sounds like a great idea. I'll be sure to do that. Albeit I'll need a location....

I don't have a car, so things within walking distance of ASU = good. Have a preference for type of food and price? What date will you be driving back through Tempe?

I'm sorry, but my family still asks that question, and they haven't learned yet.
Never. I have had some very strange ...... appetizers in the past to say the least . I could be leaving Sedona Sunday or Monday morning, your pick for what works for you. I try not to spend too much time with family. I start to get a little .... oh ..... fussy(?). Don't worry price none too much. I just got back from an underway a couple days ago. I saved. I paid this month's bills last month.

It's nice now, but have you seen that the weather service has pretty much issued a flash flood warning for Friday and Saturday? Hopefully you can dodge most of those storms (or go skiing in Flagstaff at least).
I'm gone for the weekend, but any other time's (well, outside of work) are always possible for a bunching.

For us, yes it is. Except I'll be driving in it (Bob protect me from native Arizonan drivers during that time). Though it is getting a bit worn in terms of its welcome this year.

There is no such thing as rain wearing out its welcome (especially with the preceding years of drought)! I mean, maybe if we had already gotten our full years worth of rain or something....but still...
But yeah, the drivers are nuts.

Since we're derailing this thread with something of a vengence (well, we match the thread title at least), I just learned I have to spend most the AM hours on Friday outdoors for a ground breaking. I wonder if the boss knew it was supposed to rain BEFORE he put that honor upon me...

I'm hurridly making clothing for a friend of mine (and her boyfriend) for the Estrella war.
They're just going for the weekend, so I have till next Friday to get everything done. I've got 2 pieces done. I just need to make 3 more before then!

I call my truck a boat for a reason. And if you ever get the chance to watch me ski ..... take it. I have never gone skiing, so it should be entertaining at the least. A visit to the emergency room at the most.

When I was in Virginia it was the opposite. "Ackkk! Sun! I'm ... going .. no .... blind ... can't see ... road ... swerve."

I'm just surprised this one got so far.
An' Chris Kidd .... Estrella war does not look my thing. But I hope y'all have fun.

Well, I can definitely verify that Stan the Man is real. I had a nice time eating lunch with him and hearing all his crazy stories about being in the Navy! Thanks for stopping by campus, Stan.

You are welcome, but I guess I should thank you. College campuses (as I told you) kinda weird me out. I don't now heads from tails on where anything is at. I can't even make it around the U of M campus to save my life. I guess I'll be doing much of my speculative degree elsewise. An' like my friend Brooks said when we finished Calc 2 (we both failed the course) "I'm gonna need a math tutor."
