Boy Opera had an allergic reaction about 2 weeks ago that caused him to break out in hives (no trouble breathing). We were hoping it was a one-time thing, but last night he broke out in hives again and about 10 minutes later fainted.
We took him to the ER, and he has an appointment with the family dr. tomorrow to do some initial bloodwork till we get into an allergist. There is a *very* *very* small chance the fainting episode could have been a seizure - he had loss of bladder control and we have a history of seizures in the family (his sister). Mr. Opera and I both feel it was fainting, though.
Anyway, some good vibes our way would be appreciated. I'm hoping we figure out what's going on ASAP.

Thanks everyone. We went to the dr. today, and they're sending Boy Opera to the hospital for a work-up next week. They'll be checking for mono, fifth's disease, and various other things such as his white cell count.
They'll also be doing an EEG. I'm 99 percent positive it wasn't a seizure, but the dr. is concerned about the loss of bladder control. I think I'm more scared than I should be due to Operaetta's history. But hopefully all will be well.
