I'm thinking of driving up to Chicago this weekend, just for the hell of it. Anybody want to have lunch or go to the aquarium, or do something else? I'm game for pretty much anything, but you'll need to give me good directions on how to get to your place, since I'm not too familiar with Chicago.

And as long as you're all in here, Chicago area Hatrackers, Spamalot is playing from Dec 21 - Jan 16. Bob and I need to decide which night we're going, anyone want to make a group outing of it?

Is this the camping weekend? I'd forgotten. Well, since I was really just planning on driving up on a lark, why don't I hold off until the next weekend.
Hey, that's Halloween, isn't it? Anybody got anything interesting going on in the Chicago area for Halloween weekend? Of course, I'd have to scrabble together a costume, but I'm sure I could come up with something. Probably something kind of lame with this short of notice, but still.

There's always the famous (or is it infamous?) Crowe Ghost Tours. Never been on one, but I've heard they're good. 'Course, I know many of the local stories myself, having lived here all my life.
There's also lots of fairly decent haunted houses around the area. I wonder if the Museum of Science and Industry is doing the Haunted Museum again? That was pretty neat. It wasn't too scary, but it was fun to be able to go down into areas of the Museum that the public normally can't access. *looks* Well, not the same thing I went to years back, but they do have special Halloween events. Could be fun.

Oh, and I would LOVE to see Spamalot! I think Julie and Dan are already going, but I don't know when.

That ghost tour sounds like fun, but it's a bit pricy, and it's sold out on the night of the 30th. Hmmm...

Well. You should come up when you can see the most people and when it is best for you, but keep in mind that Madison and the adorable Sophie are only about 2.5 to 3 hours away from Chicago.

Hobbes, I'll be coming via I70-->I465 N-->I65 N-->I90.
Farmgirl, I'm sorry, you must not have seen my post. In some earlier thread I asked you to email me with when you were going to be in Chicago, and when you'd have free time there, and stuff like that.
You're right in thinking that I don't really have access to my Yahoo mail anymore. Happily, though, Mike set me up with a SakeRiver email account, access to which my work hasn't blocked. You can email me at Noemon at Sakeriver dot com.
