I haven't met him either. And if he doesn't have plans to come to Norway then I probably never will.

I had been griping for him to go to Oregon for 4 years, and he finally went to Oregon this trip...I was in college way over here in Wisconsin. Alas, I have yet to meet the man. I know he'll visit Wisconsin the year after I graduate. Satyagraha

Are you saying you have trouble making up titles for your threads?
If so, just try writing the thread's first post first, then go back to fill in the title when you have finished.
Like this one could've been:
"Am I the only one who hasn't met OSC?"
Or
"Whining newbie"
(just kidding! Welcome to this side...!!!
Anyway, in answer to your question, I think it's probably safe to say that you are in the majority. Not only hasn't everyone met OSC, I'd say that most of us haven't.

I just changed my name and the court system doesn't see me anymore. That's how I got around that little obstical.

3/4 down the page. Although it doesn't prove that OSC was there, he was. I got OSC and Geoff in the same visit so there

Someday during my travels I want to drop in at Card's LDS meetinghouse in Greensboro just to see if he really writes poetry during Sunday meeting.
Of course, that would be a gross infringement of privacy to drop in on someone while he's asleep.

I haven't met him in like 4 years, at the infamous signing where Taalcon (?) and I got treated to dinner. He was supposed to come to Duke 3 weeks ago but cancelled due to nonexistant weather issues.
And I love making titles! This bothered me when we moved away from the Lion, and it irks me to no end that stupid Infopop hides the post-subject field in Eve (even though a peek at the source reveals it's still in the DB).

Actually, Skil, I've really had to fight the temptation to do this when I (briefly) lived in Greensboro, and the one time I visited since. But it does seem a but stalkerish/fanboyish.
What made it more tempting was that the Catholic Church I went to at the time (St. Pius X) was across the street from the LDS meeting house or whatever they call it, so I was within easy walking distance every week. But then again, for all I know that might not even be where OSC attends.

I went to a booksigning at the U of U campus bookstore, back when Alvin Journeyman came out, but I don't know if I would really call that "meeting" him. I just gave him my name. He wasn't in a chatty mood that day; in fact, he seemed kind of grumpy. I think I got more out of Fred Saberhagen when he sat at the same table a few months later.

I wondered if "A Rat named Dog" might post here!
I've never had the honours - not surprising as I live in the UK and don't think he's ever done a book signing over here. Anytime he wants to visit he'd be very welcome - I'm extending that welcome from the whole of the UK too.

I think we should all trick-or-treat at his house. We could dress up like dorky internet people. What do you think?

Well, I know that OSC has at least heard of Quebec, having mentioned it in some story or other, but I doubt I'll ever meet him.

Great idea, Annie! Except Halloween is too far in the future.
OTOH, there is another holiday that traditionally involves costumes that falls in just a few days. I know I plan to dress up as a dorky internet person.

Um, because if you show up at someone's house and demand candy when it's NOT Halloween, there's a tendency for them to call the cops and/or slap a restraining order on you.
And I refuse to go through that again!

I met him when he was in Birmingham. He was really nice. He knew all of us hatrackers from the forum. He's a great speaker. I would love to go hear him speak again if I get a chance.
