I'm just an anime fan and and Ender's Game fan. Personally I think the medium would be perfect for bringing Ender's Game to full graphical glory. Has Orson Scott Card or his publishing company ever thought about bringing Ender's game to the anime screen? Considering how popular the book is among Anime fans I figured it would be a good idea to try. With the inclusion of stuff from Ender's Shadow and, perhaps, an expansion of the rolls of Petra et al. I could see this easily filling the standard anime 26 episode series. A 13 episode series would work too. I don't know, just a thought and a suggestion. Since so many American companies are producing or co-producing anime (Mutineer's Moon is currently in production) I figured it might be worth a try. Anyhow, what does everyone else thing?

It's already going to be made into a movie. And as a friendly hint, don't bring it up again unless it is a joke or you have a death wish. I won't be angry, but the topic has been discussed to death here and many people would rather see nothing about it until there is new news.
Welcome aboard though. Don't be scared, theres only a few who bite, and some others who burn.

I agree, fractured. It would make a good anime.
However, that would probably interfere with the movie being made now. If they were both coming out around a similar time, they each would probably detract from the profitability of the other by splitting the market.
The movie itself could be made into something animated - a move I think would make a lot of sense, considering issues with having kid actors and difficult CG scenes in a live action. As of right now, though, I think all plans are for a standard, live action sort of film.
On the other hand, another option could be to make other parts of the series into an anime, after the movie comes out - in a style similar to what the Matrix did. I think the Speaker series would be particular well-suited to the anime form. (While we're on the topic, so would the Alvin Maker series.)

Yeah, Prolixshore, calling for a Card reading with miss Cleo is something altogether different from calling for a Card reading with Uncle Orson.
Unless Cleo can channel....

Yeah, I heard about the movie long ago. Personally I just think an anime is a much better medium for a story like Ender's Game. Considering how complex some anime already is (Crest of Stars, Legend of Galactic Heroes, et. al.) and how well it can do young protaganists ("Now and Then, Here and There", NGE) it's already proven it can cover the necessary breadth for a story such as Ender's Game. Plus the "kids killing kids" part of Ender's game as well the pivotal scene in the bathroom wouldn't have to be edited at all in an anime.

It would be edited if it were going to be shown to a wide audience in America, which I'm sure OSC will want.
