Throughout my time at Hatrack, I've had the pleasure of knowing a lot of people who I consider good friends. People who I really enjoy, people of humor, wit, wisdom, intelligence and all around good fun. Today, I would like to talk about a certain someone that does not fit any of those categories. Someone with a dry sense of humor, who is overly critical, uncreative, and just a flat out new-sance (and I misspell it, just to make him feel better about himself when he says that I'm wrong).
I am talking about Jon Boy, the epitome of geeks, the Grammar Nazi, whose only contribution to Hatrack is scaring the bageebes into people so they try to fix their grammar (hasn't effected me, obviously). He is the kind of person who has to go streaking through threads for attention. He is the kind of person who would become a minion for Pat. He is the kind of person who would boast about his mom's jello salad. He is the kind of person who would create the screen name Donny Osmond. What the frell is up with that, Jon?
In all seriousness, Jon, you're a great guy and tomorrow is your day, and after that, your future, which I hope will be a good one. You have my respect, and having you as a mock older bro is something not everyone can go around saying... so ha to everyone else... I have had the great oppurtunity to match Star Wars Trivia Knowledge with him, losing by one point. No one else here can say that. Well, sure Ruth, Damander and Jenni could but... I only lost by one point.

To Jon, a man to inspire all geeks, letting us know that even the geekiest of us can get marry to a hot babe. May you two continue to have a great life together, and if you post tomorrow, celia has given me permission to slap you silly.

Normally I would not miss an opportunity to call Jon Boy names, but he is by no means the alpha and omega of geekdom. He's not even the beta and psi of geekdom. At most he runs a distant third to Icarus and me.
Be that as it may, congratulations Jon and Ruth. I'm very happy for both of you and I expect lots of stories when you finally make it back. And if those stories appear any time tomorrow I will make a call and have you beaten.

Super congratulations, and wish I could be there for the karaoke. You're some of the finest cyberfolks I know.

And Kayla... you know that you can never watch that movie too many times. That's like saying you can watch The Princess Bride too many times. It's inconceivable! However, you could break the tape or make a dent in the dvd. In which case, all you can do is buy another one or break out your second... er... um other copy you have hanging around.

Tsk, tsk, Tom, I expected better of you. It's "Be excellent to each other." And you left off the other half of that sage advice: "And party on dudes!"
