Hello forum,

Have any hints eked out on the world wide internets as to OSC's present whereabouts?

The absence of his voice is deeply felt.

He's got a new "Uncle Orson Reviews Everything" column up and it says THIS:

"After a two-year drought, I've finished writing two novels since the start of 2020, and just wrote the first forty pages or so of The Last Shadow, the final tie-it-all-together volume of my combined Ender and Shadow series. Maybe my retirement plan ("Write Till You Die") is going to work out after all."

Thanks, Dustin —

It was a welcome review and perhaps the first Hatrack.com exclusive. (Did not show up first, still doesn't, at the Rhino Times).

Points out his novel-drought but does not address his column-hiatus — as the last one was written less than a year back (July 2019).

Haven't checked but my guess is he's gone silent at Quora, too.

I do smile that the title of his "tie-it-all-together" book is a lift from Avatar, written and directed the only arch-nemesis he's ever named (James Cameron).

Good news!

I am surprised about the 2-year drought, since 2018 saw the release of the novel A Town Divided by Christmas .

Last year came the excellent novel The Hive , as well as Lost and Found .
