I'm going home from hospital today because progress in recovering from last month's stroke is surprisingly good, almost walking again- my respect for two-year olds has risen enormously: how do they learn to walk with only us parents for teachers and no physiotherapists?!

will be off the air until I get internet established at new home, please do keep those flash fiction entries coming, can't wait to read those already received, awesome titles they have.

Cheers
Pat

Hang in there, and get better!

Thanks, Robert.

I'm learning that the key to stroke recovery is indeed hanging in there with positive energy. And yes, I will get better...

cheers
Pat

Having a stroke (which I'm glad to see you are overcoming swimingly, Pat) is a bit like having Multiple Sclerosis, which I have to deal with. Every now and again a part of my body (arms, legs, face, memory) decides to take a mini (and sometimes painful) vacation for days or sometimes weeks, depending on stress levels and external forces. But, I take comfort in knowing that with Recurrent/Remitting M.S. I will eventually recover the use of the vacated part(s), with hardly any noticeable depreciation. My most favorite times are when I remember where I left that forgotten tool from last year's gardening project, or where I left my uncashed tax return check. That's always fun.
