Another micro-fiction contest. Rules as follows:

1) Story must fit in the usual 13 line box.NO MORE--NO LESS It must be a story--not an intro. Please be aware that if you post your story here it is considered published and you may not be able to publish it later elsewhere.

2) To make this easy, each person can post their own story (with the title and the then the story, nothing else)OR, if you have a Hatrack friend, you can post each others. This way no-one can assume that poster is the author. Once posted--no editing or you get disqualified. Get it right first time.

3)Voting can start on 31st July 2008 anytime zone--if someone has voted then no more entries can be made--if you vote too early, then again, it doesn't count if valid entries are posted after.

4) Votes will be tallied by myself on 10th August.

5)The story must be about OR obviously based on OR include a common idiom (e.g. in for a penny in for a pound) or proverb (e.g. a rolling stone gathers no moss).

If the lines of letters a through m don't fit the reply box exactly, then your 13 lines is not exactly 13 lines.

I am still in Turkey, but my new hotel (the day I fly home, of course) does have internet access, unlike my other one! However I have packed the power plug and the notebook has only a little power. I daren't start critting in case it shuts down and I lose my post. So I will post when I get back. Good job by everyone though.
