Last Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES (THE SHAMAN'S CURSE, THE VOICE OF PROPHECY, BEYOND THE PROPHECY,and WAR OF MAGIC): Nothing this week unless the revisions to the audio book come back.
Still waiting for audio revisions. [Frown]

Refresh existing catalog: Go back through my back list and add the link to BECOME: BROTHERS
Not yet. [Frown]

BECOME: BROTHERS: Promote on social media.
I am officially a slacker. [Frown]

BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING: Either get back to work on this one or choose something else to work on while my enthusiasm for this story rebuilds.

Good afternoon (night/morning/&c)

Goals for the week:

Tea & Flowers

Fill in MC backgrounds
Revamp outline to meet story promises
Research stars within 100 parsecs
Contemplate how to bring characters' relationships quickly to the fore.

I find myself sorely tempted to write the scenes I've already outlined for my novel and let the rest of the outline continue to blossom from there. So I suppose that my main goals are:

Continue the outlining process
Write rough drafts of some scenes I've already got outlined
Keep my mind open to new ideas

Same as the last couple of weeks except one thing,

Funny how different parts of a review can effect you in different ways.

Got an update from one beat reader. They stated basically four major issues with the book. Two were Ohh, okay I can see that, easy to fix. Two were UGggg I worked on that, I can't do better, I give up.

As a result of Disgruntled peony's writing challenge I have been working on the first draft of what I hoped would be a cheeky satire about the idea of confession. Then H Reinhold ruined it all by asking a difficult question then following it up with fascinating possibilities.

This left me with the task of writing a darker, more pointed satire. I went from sticking my tongue out at the Devil to the usurpation of God's authority by faithless men in shepherd's garb. Still predicted at 1,000 words, though.

Progress: Well, in six days I've written eight lines. I have introduced the main character and his immediate dramatic problem: Being dead and falling down into Hell.

Next task: Develop setting (Hell) and then Satan's grand entrance. That'll be fun.
