As for me.

Last Week's Goals:

MAGE STORM: Hold until after Book 2 of the DUAL MAGICS series is published.
Easy one. [Smile]

DAUGHTER OF THE DISGRACED KING (Formerly MAGIC AND POWER): Send out three more queries.
Yes. [Smile]

THE SHAMAN'S CURSE: Continue to watch how sales and borrows go on Kindle Select.
Well enough. Could be better. I suppose I'll have to do some more promotion. [Frown]

THE VOICE OF PROPHECY (Formerly THE IGNORED PROPHECY): Start working on the revisions from the critiques.
Started. [Smile]

BEYOND THE PROPHECY (Briefly PATHS OF CHAOS): On hold for TIP revisions.
Easy one. [Smile]

DREAMER'S ROSE: Pause, for now.
Another easy one. [Smile]

WEIRD OZ: Let the new ideas ferment a bit.
Easy again. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Finally published my paperbacks on CreateSpace for the Sara Featherwood novels. Done at last!

Did some editing on my Bellia novel in InDesign, prior to publication. Reviewing it for conflict after re-reading a few writing books.

Doing preliminary preparation on a new novel for NaNoWriMo. I'm trying to see if there is enough there to make it in to a trilogy.

Squeezing in an update right before the week ends [Smile] .

Been a pretty awful week. Came down sick, slogged out enough energy to get my newest novel up and started the free promotion, only to watch even the free sales flop. Between that and poor health and seasonal blues my drive to write almost completely disappeared, and it took a few days before I could even work myself up to doing 3 pages a day on my two current WIPs, or 6 pages total.

I can't say today was much better, although I settled on a single book to focus on and got my 10 pages done (mostly because the groundwork was already laid in the form of scene fragments). Determined to get my 10 pages for tomorrow and actually rather excited about the upcoming section, which includes some breathtaking visuals and plunges us into the action.

So hopefully my fugue is behind me. Planning on at least 10 pages a day until my next novel is done, and later in the week the 3 months time period since the free promotion for my first book, Corsairs, will end so I'm looking forward to doing another promotion for it and promoting it in all the new places I've found.

I knew from the start my writing, publishing, and promotion strategy was going to involve brute force. I'm terrible at promotion and my presentation could use work, so I have to make up for it with churning out books frequently (trying for at least one a month) and making sure the writing is good enough people want to come back for more, so when they do enjoy one they'll pick up the others.

And, as always, I'm working to improve writing, presentation, and promotion all so I can get my books out there in front of people, draw readers in from the get-go, and keep them coming back for more.
