This story was workshopped here on Hatrack under the name "Eggs die all the time" (or something similar)

I thought it was pretty good...reflecting an extremely alien background and culture and people, yet allowing the reader to get involved in the lives of the characters and caring about them...I liked the way some things were worked out but others were left unexplained and unexplored.
