I recently sent out a dark fantasy short story, 10,000 words. And yes, the magazine takes them that long, the editor sent me a very nice letter back suggesting some changes and then asked me to resubmit for reconsideration. While helpful and encouraging it was one of those vague letters suggesting basically a re-write to make the story tighter and to omit some wording mistakes.
I have gotten almost through it and am looking for some readers to read through and see what you think, and to make any suggestions. I will be running it through my crit group at some point, but would like to have an early re-write draft run through, then run it though them after I consider the crits I get from any of you.
It’s a very dark story folks. So that’s why I am asking for a few readers who will not be offended by a very dark story. Plus, 10,000 words is a bit more than what people normally do here.

I'd like to give your story a shot. It might take about a week for me to get back to you, if that's okay.
My email's in the profile thing...

I'll read it, and make comments (bet you couldn't guess that I would make comments, could you? ).
